You will soon be turning 3 years old and I just cannot believe how quickly time has flown. Your dada and I area always commenting about how we can not really remember our lives before you came into it. You have brightened our days, challenged us, made us laugh, made us cry, made us wonder if we were cut out to be parents, and above all you have made us experience a love that neither of us knew was possible.
You have grown out of liking Elmo/Yo Gabba, now you like the Fresh Beat Band/Dora/Max & Ruby/and anything princess, you are now Ms. Independent, and your biggest interests are now painting your toe nails, putting on lip gloss and wearing princess dresses. You love taking baths and could stay in for hours if we'd let you. You still don't like going to bed and you are a pill to put to sleep. Your energy still knows no bounds. You love eating grilled cheese, eggs, cereal and anything with sugar!! You LOVE to do arts and crafts -- another thing you would do day/night if I let you. You always want to help me and wherever I am - there you are. You have the most inquisitive nature and always want to know how things work or why they are the way they are. You love playing outside. You love playing in the water (swimming, splashing, etc...), and you have taken a little interest in soccer. You have moved into a big girl bed which makes us proud yet sad at how much you are growing. If we could slow the days down we would....but for now we just try to savor them.
At 3 you are now a big sister and I am sure that is challenging to you - you went from being the center of our universe to having to share your things, time, and us. I know in my heart of hearts that you will be the best big sister that any one could ever hope to have, and while it may be challenging for you to adjust to all of this I promise that it will (one day) be worth it! You have such a kind spirit, caring heart, and all of your 3 year old wisdom will come in handy for Silas.
Ms. Ellie Sophia - you are our pride and joy and our love for you is limitless. We look forward to you turning 3 and look forward to a million and one more years to come!!
