This has always been a dream destination for us.....we decided to take the plunge and pack our bags for the sunshine of Hawaii.
We decided to fly to LA, spend the night and then fly to Hawaii. The flight to LA was not bad but then we had to get all of our bags, hop on a shuttle and get to the hotel and this part was bad. We decided to try to check our bags the day before so we could just hop on the shuttle in the morning and quickly get through the airport. Justin hopped back on the hotel shuttle and headed back to the airport, however the airline wouldn't let us do this. They don't check bags in that early and so Justin had to hop back on the shuttle (with the bags) and head back to the hotel. We were all exhausted.
We decided to stay in and order room service and just relax before the big flight. We woke up bright and early to get back on the shuttle to the airport!
The flight to Hawaii from LA is roughly 6 hours and we foolishly decided to save some money and not get Silas a seat. Thankfully, the woman crammed in the seats with us found another seat and moved freeing up a seat for Silas. I cannot say that I blame this woman for high tailing it out of there!
The flight was loooooong......and I think I took it the hardest! Ellie and Silas actually did super great!
Here is Ellie at the beach right off of our hotel....
I can tell you ..... once we made it and saw the beauty all around us.....it was definitely worth the
trip.
About Me

- Welcome to our blog!! This is a blog about our life, mostly from Jennifer's perspective. We were married in July 2007 at the Wynn Resort in Las Vegas and then sealed together for eternity in the Albuquerque New Mexico Temple in June 2009. We welcomed Ms. Ellie Sophia into our lives on February 9, 2010 and she is absolutely the light of our lives. Then we added Silas Ian on January 4, 2013 and his smile just brightens our days. We live in Rio Rancho, New Mexico where Justin works as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and I pursue my PhD in Nursing while being a stay at home mom! Life is so chaotic but we really couldn't ask for a more perfect life!
