About Me

Welcome to our blog!! This is a blog about our life, mostly from Jennifer's perspective. We were married in July 2007 at the Wynn Resort in Las Vegas and then sealed together for eternity in the Albuquerque New Mexico Temple in June 2009. We welcomed Ms. Ellie Sophia into our lives on February 9, 2010 and she is absolutely the light of our lives. Then we added Silas Ian on January 4, 2013 and his smile just brightens our days. We live in Rio Rancho, New Mexico where Justin works as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and I pursue my PhD in Nursing while being a stay at home mom! Life is so chaotic but we really couldn't ask for a more perfect life!

Cancun Day 1: Arrival at ClubMed

We headed to the airport and had a relatively easy time getting through security and getting on our flight. Ellie and Silas did great on the plane and the flight was smooth - Phew! This was Silas' first time flying so we had no idea how he'd do but he has continued the tradition of being a good traveler.

Our only snafu was at Customs in Mexico - we waited well over an hour in line which was horrendous with two small kids. However, they handled it relatively well (after a several hour long flight) and we made it to ClubMed pretty easily.

ClubMed welcomed us and made us feel right at home from the get-go. We indicated, when we booked the trip, that we were traveling with an infant and they had the crib set up when we got to the room, a stroller ready, and special areas with baby food and bottled water for bottles. Super family friendly!

Here are Silas and Snoopba at the airport

Here we are waiting for our shuttle just outside of the Cancun Airport

As soon as we arrived we headed for the beach!

Sand between our toes.....

We grabbed some lunch....

Then headed back out to the beach!

We decided to get 2 adjoining rooms so Silas' crib could be in one. This way when he needed to sleep we could still mill about and do what we needed to do without disturbing him or making Ellie feel cooped up.

All in all, we were super happy with the way the day came together. We had no issues on the flight, a bit of a hold up at customs, and came to a beautiful facility and room. Ellie has LOVED being right on the beach - I don't think we will be able to pry her away each day :)
