About Me

Welcome to our blog!! This is a blog about our life, mostly from Jennifer's perspective. We were married in July 2007 at the Wynn Resort in Las Vegas and then sealed together for eternity in the Albuquerque New Mexico Temple in June 2009. We welcomed Ms. Ellie Sophia into our lives on February 9, 2010 and she is absolutely the light of our lives. Then we added Silas Ian on January 4, 2013 and his smile just brightens our days. We live in Rio Rancho, New Mexico where Justin works as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and I pursue my PhD in Nursing while being a stay at home mom! Life is so chaotic but we really couldn't ask for a more perfect life!

Cancun Day 6: Ending our trip with a bang!

Today we headed out for a walk around the grounds and stopped for some lunch.

On our way back we found this little guy/gal!
Ellie just had to get some pictures of him -
All pics are by Ellie

Ellie was not in the picture taking mood (well not of herself any way)

Finally! A smile!

Here she is with another iguana....

Taking a pause by some cool fountains

Then we, of course, headed out to the beach - it was our final day to spend here so we had to really take advantage of it!

Then we had some dinner and our GO, Mario, ate with us. Ellie was absolutely enamored with him and (we found out later) even took some pictures of him with her iPad - without his consent......

Here is Mario --- apparently eating soup (pic by Ellie Sophia)

And here he is talking --

Poor guy, he had no idea that Ellie is a Super Spy

After this we went to watch a performance and Michael Jackson Tribute (because Mario was in it and invited us) however Ellie found it way too loud and we left. We then headed out to watch a trapeze performance (here at ClubMed you can actually learn to use the trapeze!) and then retired for the night.

Soon, We will be heading back to reality.......

Cancun Day 5: Family Pictures

I didn't take any pictures today because today was the day we are having family pictures taken! We found a local photographer, Lydia Grosso, and she agreed to come to ClubMed and take our family pics.

This poor woman did not know what she was up against! It was a super windy day and we were dressed in our matching outfits and ready for our session. In walked this super tall, leggy, blonde, young woman and it became apparent really fast that she wasn't familiar with working with children. She was very patient and tried her hardest to make things work but (as Justin puts it) it was a train wreck from the start. The day was incredibly windy, Ellie was wearing a dress and we had forgotten to get her undershorts so she was showing her underwear in most pictures, the sun was in our eyes the whole time and Silas was quickly "done" with taking pictures.

Here are some of the better ones.....

Even though these pictures aren't the "perfect" family pictures we were trying to get - they still reflect us.  How can I not love that!
