However....she was not quite ready for a "big girl" class that required her to participate without mama nearby. So.....the outfit has returned to the box and the shoes have been hung up with care until this little ballerina can get the guts to venture out alone. Mama does not look quite this good in her ballet outfit so we will pass on having me join the other 2 years olds in class.
About Me
- .
- Welcome to our blog!! This is a blog about our life, mostly from Jennifer's perspective. We were married in July 2007 at the Wynn Resort in Las Vegas and then sealed together for eternity in the Albuquerque New Mexico Temple in June 2009. We welcomed Ms. Ellie Sophia into our lives on February 9, 2010 and she is absolutely the light of our lives. Then we added Silas Ian on January 4, 2013 and his smile just brightens our days. We live in Rio Rancho, New Mexico where Justin works as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and I pursue my PhD in Nursing while being a stay at home mom! Life is so chaotic but we really couldn't ask for a more perfect life!

Non-Ballerina
Ellie is now getting old enough that we feel she can benefit from some type of class/lessons. After some careful looking into what options we have available we decided to try ballet. She was so excited at the prospect and wanted the whole outfit (shoes, tights, etc...) so we obliged and she looked darn cute.

Conversations with Ellie: Gardening
Today we were outside and I was trimming some flowers. A ton of bees emerged and Following dialogue occurred:
Me: Ellie, move out of the way these bees are really mad
Elllie: why mama?
Me: because I am cutting down their flowers
Ellie: well then I can play here - they are mad at you not me.
Touché.

Dear baby
Dear baby,

Sandy Dego: Day 5

On the motorcycle ride....
With her Penguin that I (mama) won her from this crane/grab game....
Ellie and dada playing the horse race game
We then headed to Mission Beach so we could run and play by the water.....
It was a really great end to a completely fun trip.....Who needs the Bahamas?!?!

Sandy Dego: Day 4
Today we headed out to the San Diego Zoo.....
Our first stop was the petting area - which really just consisted of some goats.....
Dada provided some brief instructions on petting the goats and encouragement
Then Ellie finally petted the goat on her own
On the safari ride....
Elephants
View from the Tram
As you can see - she became quite the professional carousel rider.....

Sandy Dego: Day 3
Today we headed to downtown San Diego to try out a Brazilian Restaurant ....however it was rather lackluster and we left pretty disappointed. It was scary, the decor was outdated, the food was disgusting and it was expensive. Guess you can't always trust Yelp.
Here's Justin trying to hide his sadness...
We then made the trek to the Scripps Aquarium to check out the action.....
It was right by the ocean so it had a pretty amazing view
Sitting by the fish pond
Playing with the toy eels
Statues outside the museum (on our way to the car just before a massive meltdown that resulted in Ellie slapping Justin and many parents pointing at Ellie while telling their children "See that's what you look like when you throw a fit" --- not a proud moment in parenting).
We then headed out to the San Diego Temple which happened to be just by the Aquarium...
Ellie and dada
It was absolutely gorgeous here
Love this crazy girl :)
Cheese!
These next few pics Ellie took on her own with my camera.....
.....I think she did a really great job!! Maybe we will start hirin her out!?!
We took a short break at the hotel and then headed out this cute little shopping area called SeaPort Village, which became a nightly stop!
It had cute little shops, entertainment, food and a carousel!
We grabbed some cupcakes (because I cannot resist a cupcake) ---
And then looked in the "telescope"
We headed back to the room to get some sleep and rev up for the next day!
