A nice day for the park....

Today was such a nice day that I decided to take the kiddos to the park. We drove down to a quaint little park in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque - mostly because it is never busy. I packed everyone up and we headed out and they had an absolute blast. I think Ellie was just happy to be out and getting some fresh air. Sometimes I forget that not everyone shares my love for being cooped up in the house!

After the park we were able to meet dada for lunch at Monroe's! It was a big day for us - as far as outings go - and I think it convinced me that I am perfectly capable to leaving the house with 2 kids!

Ellie goes to the Theater

Ellie and I headed out to a production of the Little Mermaid Jr. at the Kimo theater. Justin and Silas hung out together for a bit while we took an afternoon to go to the theater! Ellie was so excited to go however about half way through the show she got a bit antsy and the urge to move hit. She scratched the itch, so to speak, by making a quick jaunt to the restroom and we were able to finish the whole play.

It was a super cute little production put on by the NM Young Actors so they ranged in age from about 6-19 years of age. I know Justin is hoping Ellie doesn't get bit by an acting/singing bug, but I'm not so sure we will be able to avoid that :)

Silliness

We decided to get family pictures done while we are in Cancun -- so we have been working on getting our outfits together. I finally made my idea come to fruition when Justin told me that he didn't think it was going to look right because we didn't all match exactly. I challenged this idea ....and to finally put this debate to rest we decided to all get dressed up and take a picture......

And this was the result.....Real classy.

Trip To Cowgirls

Whenever we are feeling adventurous but we don't want to go too far from home we head to Santa Fe. This inevitable means a stop to Cowgirls. 

Cowgirls is a kitschy little BBQ place that has a play area for kiddos and a quirky little vibe.
