About Me

Welcome to our blog!! This is a blog about our life, mostly from Jennifer's perspective. We were married in July 2007 at the Wynn Resort in Las Vegas and then sealed together for eternity in the Albuquerque New Mexico Temple in June 2009. We welcomed Ms. Ellie Sophia into our lives on February 9, 2010 and she is absolutely the light of our lives. Then we added Silas Ian on January 4, 2013 and his smile just brightens our days. We live in Rio Rancho, New Mexico where Justin works as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and I pursue my PhD in Nursing while being a stay at home mom! Life is so chaotic but we really couldn't ask for a more perfect life!

Dear baby

I think with any new change comes question - question about how this will really change things. Deciding to have you was never even a second thought - we knew we wanted you before we even had your sister and now that we know you are on the way our excitement cannot be contained. Of course, we wonder how things will change with 2 kids. One of my professors told me that having 2 children will be "exponentially harder" and while it frightened me a bit it also made me excited for the challenges we will face together.

I have gotten use to the days of sleeping through the night, not changing diapers, having a child that is pretty independent and all the perks that come with that independence. Now you will be here and you will need help with everything and it will, essentially, be starting all over again.

.....but this is a journey I look forward to doing together -- as a family of four!

Love,
Mama, Dada, & Ellie

Crazy driver!

We went to eat at Red Robin and Ellie just had to "drive" the car game while we were there.....

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

In about 13 years we should all be a lot bit more cautious when on the roads with this driver :)

Dear Baby

You are growing growing growing in this tummy of mine - fortunately it has been a pretty easy time and you have been pretty easy on me. No morning sickness - just a little tired but hey, I'm growing a person!

Ellie is super excited to have you around and she has a million and one questions (which you will learn is an essential part of who she is) about you growing, what it will be like when you are here and what things you guys will do together. I think she has big plans for you guys - so watch out!

Love you more than words,
Mama, Dada & Ellie

Back for more...

We are already back out in the sun to make sure our pool gets adequately used!!

AND we broke out our stash of pool toys that we had purchased on clearance at the end of last summer....there are a few more stashes I still cannot find (typical me!) however I think these will tide us over for a while!

Nice and cool!

Give the girl a bucket and some water and she is in heaven!

We are SUPER EXCITED!!!

I am sure we will get much use out of this thing throughout the summer!!! Let the hot weather begin!

The greatest show on Earth!!!

The Barnum and Bailey circus was headed to Rio Rancho and we got tickets as soon as they came on sell. Unfortunatley it was almost cancelled and our rare time of planning in advance was also almost foiled! Thankfully Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerquere stepped in and saved the day so we were able to attend the Circus!!

Ellie was a little freaked out by the noise (it was somewhat loud) so she had on her trusty TigerPhones.....

Taking in the sights

The hat says it all!!

Thankfully the hat has also been a source of fun well past the day of the circus!
