About Me

Welcome to our blog!! This is a blog about our life, mostly from Jennifer's perspective. We were married in July 2007 at the Wynn Resort in Las Vegas and then sealed together for eternity in the Albuquerque New Mexico Temple in June 2009. We welcomed Ms. Ellie Sophia into our lives on February 9, 2010 and she is absolutely the light of our lives. Then we added Silas Ian on January 4, 2013 and his smile just brightens our days. We live in Rio Rancho, New Mexico where Justin works as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and I pursue my PhD in Nursing while being a stay at home mom! Life is so chaotic but we really couldn't ask for a more perfect life!

Best Dada Ever!!!

Last night we were awoken to cries and screams from Ellie's room. Justin went in to find her (and all of her earthly possessions) covered in vomit. He cleaned her up, cleaned all of her stuff, carried her to the restroom on subsequent vomiting incidents, and slept with her on the living room floor all night. I think he loves her just a little bit.....best dada ever in all the universe!

Feliz Navidad!

What is there to say about today?!?!?
It is the day Jesus was born,
it is a day to spend with family
and to share from all the blessings we’ve had for the year!

We, as a family, have been so incredibly blessed and it was great to look around and see the blessings right in front of our very eyes.

We had a wonderful Christmas and once again felt so very blessed.

We are so thankful for all that we have been given and
on this day we can celebrate the true reason for the season -- Jesus!

And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people."Luke 2:10

Christmas Eve is here!

Ellie Mae joined us for Christmas Eve, in part because she is here in the event that Silas decides to come a bit early. We headed out to the Christmas Eve candlelight service and then came home for some tasty treats. Then we opened up our Christmas Eve pajamas and got prepared to snuggle in for the night before Santa comes.

{Appetizers!}

{Opening some presents}

We started a tradition where the family gets new pajamas on Christmas Eve and we also let Ellie open a select number of presents. Tonight she got some new clothes, pajamas (see picture), and Lalaloopsy nail polish! She was painting everyone and any one's nails!

This Christmas is exciting on numerous levels – first, it IS Christmas! Secondly, we are very excited for Silas to come and know that it can happen any day. We thought he may be here for Christmas but it doesn’t look like that will happen. We know that next Christmas we will have another little member of our family and that makes us super excited for what this upcoming year has to bring.
