About Me

Welcome to our blog!! This is a blog about our life, mostly from Jennifer's perspective. We were married in July 2007 at the Wynn Resort in Las Vegas and then sealed together for eternity in the Albuquerque New Mexico Temple in June 2009. We welcomed Ms. Ellie Sophia into our lives on February 9, 2010 and she is absolutely the light of our lives. Then we added Silas Ian on January 4, 2013 and his smile just brightens our days. We live in Rio Rancho, New Mexico where Justin works as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and I pursue my PhD in Nursing while being a stay at home mom! Life is so chaotic but we really couldn't ask for a more perfect life!

Bubbles?? No...no...Buble'

Ok....so here's....a breakdown of yesterday!! Because I know you all are waiting with baited breath!!

900-1200 --- Went to work and saw 2 clients - uneventful
1200-130---- Went to UNM Hospital for an interview. This was quite eventful - we got there early (thankfully) and utilized the new patient/visitor parking garage they've built. Ummm....it was so small that 2 cars could not pass simultaneously. This created a LOT of chaos in a really small, dark, and confined space. Not a pretty sight. Thankfully we made it out a live and unscathed....
130-230 --- Lunch at Monroes
230-400 -- Studying for a final exam -- NOT fun!
400-550 --- Took final exam - We had to go to the campus testing center for this...you go in a small small room with like maybe 8 desks. I began the test and was feeling confident until I heard a rustling --- some girl broke out a package of candy and was eating it during the test. It totally got me distracted and ANGRY. Then the girl behind me was slamming down a calculator on the desk each time she used it. I need total silence when I'm testing (I think it's the ADHD) and this was not working. Finally the candy girl left and the calculator slammer moved on to non-calculator using problems because her slamming stopped. I don't think I did great but I only needed a 15 on the test to pass and I'm pretty sure I at least got that!!!
550-650---went home to get ready for the concert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got my camera, printed out our tickets, freshened up, etc...Justin said there was no need to leave so early because no one was going to be there ....HA! We got to the Santa Ana Center (out in the middle of nowhere) and there were tons of cars...more than we've ever seen at an event there!
650-800--- got some popcorn and a Sprite and found our seats --- I sat by this lady and a lady that appeared to either be her mom or her grandmother (very nice) and Justin sat by this drunk couple who fought through the first half of the concert and made out during the second half!!! Woo hoo!!!!!!
800-845 ish ---- OPENING ACT --- They were called Naturally 7 and they were AMAZING. They use only the human voice/body as instruments. One guy makes drum sounds, the other makes bass guitar sounds, the other electric guitar sounds etc....They each demonstrated their skills individually so you could see what they do individually - then they put it all together and it was amazing. Everyone was totally blown away by them. You can check them out on myspace (Search: Naturally Seven) or youtube. We have one of their songs playing on our myspace so check it out.
845-900 ish---Waiting not so patiently----people took this opportunity to get up and buy more alcoholic beverages. I think Justin and I and the people beside me were the only people not drinking in the whole place. During this time some man picked up his drink and promptly spilled it on the lady in front of him......she was very upset to say the least. He got up and returned with some napkins to clean himself and his seat off, but nothing for the lady he spilled on.
900 ish to 1050 --- MICHAEL BUBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was a little nervous because his music isn't flashy so I wondered how his concert would be in terms of entertainment value. It was awesome!! He is so funny, so charismatic, and had all the 45+ ladies swooning!! Everyone was singing along....laughing.....it was a fun fun time. During one of his songs (a love ballad) the whole place was dead silent except for one lady who kept screaming "I LOVE YOU MICHAEL' then at the end he said "During that song I thought the biggest mistake I made in the recording studio was not having someone yelling in the background I LOVE YOU MICHAEL I LOVE YOU MICHAEL ... I know everyone around me hates me and I'm annoying but I'm going to yell any way." Hilarious because it was rude....my kind of guy!! He jumped off stage and ran into the swarm of women who literally attacked the poor guy. He emerged with lipstick all over his face. Then he said, "This song goes out to all the guys in the audience.." then he sang YMCA and this guy in the audience starts lifting up his shirt (not the best physique either) and slapping his butt -- we died laughing it was the funniest thing ever!! After his main set he returned for 2 encore songs, Thanked everyone for spending their hard earned money and their time to come see him...he sang the end of the song without a microphone and you could hear him clear as day, and it made the song seem even more personal. It was just great AND Justin even said that he liked it. He said (and I quote) "I thought it was great...I guess I'm officially getting old." awww.....rude but nice.....I'll take it!! So here are the pics from the night!!! Enjoy!!!!

Dead tired...

I went BACK to the hygienist today to finish the teeth cleaning process.....I was there forever! She was nice enough and so I tolerated the amount of time it took for my smile to get brightened and whitened. Then i headed to work -- my clients actually SHOWED UP today!! Woo Hoo!!! Cha-Ching!!! Just kidding, but yeah. Then it was home and Justin had dinner made!! He's the best husband in the world!!!! I just LOVE him!! Then we had our home teaching tonight, we talked about the restored gospel a 'lil and then went on our merry ways. We then made a quick trip to best buy to pick up a few things (cheap things...nothing impressive). And now here I am blogging.....Honestly this blog a day is hard!!! So here's how I am feeling at the end of today....Exhausted and needing a little R&R!!!!!!!!!! Keep your minds out of the gutter people:)

Check out out my grill :)

Today was a pretty BORING day...We went to take one of our final exams --- We're both sure we did great (TOTALLY making that up!). On our way to the test we were almost in a car wreck...this spazzed out lady in a VW Bug (new one) pulled out in front of us and Justin had to swerve way into the other lanes to miss her. SPAZZ!! On our way home I-40 was shut completely down due to a semi truck with explosives that had been involved in a wreck.... Now COMPLETELY shutting down I-40 is not a good idea at 445 pm so it took us super long to get home...then we treated ourselves with a trip to sam's club for an ICEEE!!!!!!!!!! Then we came home and "shined our grill".....no no not our grill grill....but our grill....ahhh......Here's a pic...Enjoy!

Monday Monday

Today was a fun day!! I went to work to see 2 clients for assessments and they didn't show up! ARGHH!! So then I came home early....watched some dumb show called "Love behind bars" - it was about how death row inmates find love via internet ads and mail that is sent to them by suitors. Justin came in and was TOTALLY laughing at me and then he got sucked into the drama..:) We then headed to class, the last class of the semester for this particular class...it was a total waste of a drive. Oh well what are ya gonna do?!? Then he went off to a class while I stayed home and watched INTERVENTION!!!! Love it!!! Then we went off to a romantic dinner at Wendy's....Ahhhh....love! Todays pic is of our cat Regan (she was completely being uncooperative so all I could muster was an ear) whom I love bothering because she hates it so much!!! Enjoy....

Today was a SUPER busy day....we had church from 1030 am - 130 pm...then we when to the park to shoot some pictures for about 2 hours and then we took a nap (BIG mistake) and then worked on some stuff for school this week! I am tired, but it was a good weekend!

Today's picture is of the best cake I've ever made....That's why it's almost gone!!

See you tomorrow! J&J

Up and Running....

So....I have decided to move away from using myspace and to begin using this blogger thing....Blogging was the part of myspace that I most enjoyed, and so this was the natural progression of things. So I am using an idea that I saw on someone else's blog, which I am now stealing, a picture a day blog (or almost every day)!! Eureka...two things I LOVE the most (1) taking pictures (2) blogging...loves it!

Today's picture is taken, graciously, by Elder Masi of Elder Plunkett. during our tonight's lesson. Elder Masi is new to us as he has replaced Elder LaRue who transferred to Kirkland. Elder Masi had a little bit of trouble figuring out the camera, but hey the picture turned out!! We have tons of fun when we get together....As evidenced by this picture!! Enjoy :)
